Privacy at motozop.

MotoZop is built so that the server never needs to know who you are. This is an architectural choice, not just a policy. The short version:

• We do not require an account. There is no signup.
• Personalisation — your selected city, comparison shortlist, dark-mode preference — lives in your browser's localStorage. The server reads none of it.
• We do not run cross-site tracking pixels or third-party advertising trackers.
• We use no marketing cookies. Functional cookies (if any) are documented below.

What we collect

Server logs

Like every web server, our edge platform (Cloudflare) logs request metadata: the URL, a timestamp, response status, the country derived from your IP, and the user agent. IP addresses are truncated before they are written to our analytics. Logs are retained for 30 days for operations and security, then deleted.

Editorial inbox

When you email us at any of the addresses on the contact page, we keep the message until the issue is resolved. We do not add your email to any list.

Local storage in your browser

To make the site feel personal without a server-side account, the following items live in your browser only:

• Your chosen city for on-road pricing.
• Your comparison shortlist (slugs of vehicles you have added to /compare).
• Light/dark theme preference.
• Anonymous A/B test bucket assignments.

Clearing your browser data removes all of it. None of this leaves your device.

What we do not collect

• Name, phone number, address — we never ask.
• Financial details — we do not sell EMI, insurance, or finance products on-site.
• Lead-gen handoff to dealers — we don't generate leads.

Third parties

Pages may embed images and JSON-LD from manufacturer or news sources, identified by their domain. Those domains receive only the standard request metadata the browser sends with any embed. We do not embed third-party JavaScript trackers.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023, you have rights to access, correction, and grievance redressal. Because we hold no personal data server-side, most requests are a single reply confirming we have nothing on file. Email privacy@motozop.com to exercise these rights.

Children

The site is intended for an audience aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

Material changes are committed to the open repo and dated. The verification date above reflects the last time this page was reviewed.
